Rejuvenate your tired, plain or aged concrete or simply improve your curb appeal

Yep, we’re all tired of the cold temps of winter and ready to start planning our outdoor projects for spring and summer. If you’re thinking of making some changes to your concrete surfaces, there are a variety of ways to add pattern, texture, colour and interest at affordable prices.

Consider stamped concrete as a decorative option to transform your driveway, walkway, porch, patio, pool deck, sidewalks, and even, basement. Stamped concrete, also known as textured concrete, is a popular option and is available in many patterns and colours.

Stamped concrete is poured just like regular concrete, but patterns and textures are added in before the concrete dries. It is a delicate process that requires some expertise and special tools. That said, it is still less expensive than most other materials such as natural stone or brick.

Hardscapes specializes in refinishing, repair & other decorative concrete services for residential and commercial properties. Discover the details about how we can customize your project and bring your unique design ideas to life.

Sealing Your Concrete

Textured ConcreteIf you recently had concrete work done outdoors like a stamped or textured driveway or sidewalk but didn’t get a chance to have it sealed before the weather turned cold, what should you do?

With unsealed concrete there is always a chance of freeze or thaw damage in colder weather. If the mix was correct you shouldn’t have any problems.

If you get a couple of warmer days it is advisable to get the concrete sealed but the concrete has to be dry for 24 hours before you seal it.

If the temperature remains cold you will have to leave it unsealed until the weather warms and allows for it to be properly sealed.
